MEMBER REPORT

Every day across Atlantic Canada, our team shows up with one goal: to make your membership feel indispensable and effortless, with a human touch. Whether that's a reassuring voice at our call centre, a roadside rescue on a stormy night, useful advice from our expert travel advisors, or everyday savings that add up - we are here for you.

As we look back at 2025, our focus was firmly on you, as always - our members. Your needs, your safety, and your experiences shape every decision we make. Member advocacy, exceptional service, and a deep commitment to being there when it matters most continue to guide our work.

You’ll see that commitment in our efforts to create safer roads - including our ongoing push to protect roadside workers - and in the small but meaningful touches that make a big difference in your day‑to‑day interactions with us.

Thank you for trusting us with life’s everyday moments and big adventures. We’re proud to go together with you, and we’re excited to share some of the stories and highlights that your membership made possible last year.

With gratitude,

ESG

At CAA Atlantic, our Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) work is about operating responsibly, supporting our communities, and making decisions that strengthen our organization for the long term. In 2025, we made meaningful progress across all three areas, moving from planning into real‑world action.

Reducing Our Environmental Footprint

We took important steps to lower the environmental impact of our operations while investing in solutions that deliver long‑term value.

We advanced plans to install rooftop solar systems at our Dartmouth and Saint John offices. Once operational, these systems will generate clean electricity for decades, significantly reducing emissions and helping stabilize energy costs over time.
Our work to address carbon emissions also led to the development of an exciting new initiative planned for launch later this year, further strengthening our long‑term sustainability efforts.
We completed anti‑idling initiatives for our fleet, using new tools and training to reduce unnecessary fuel use and emissions. We also improved call routing and dispatching to shorten travel distances and reduce our carbon footprint.

Together, these actions reflect our commitment to practical, measurable environmental improvements rather than short‑term offsets alone.

Strengthening Communities and Our Workplace

Our social impact efforts focused on fairness, inclusion, and supporting the communities our members live in.

We aligned our charitable giving around three clear priorities: food security, equity and inclusion, and clean communities. Employee donations were streamlined to support local food banks across Atlantic Canada, ensuring help goes where it’s needed most.
We completed a comprehensive review of compensation practices using multiple national benchmarks. This work supports pay equity, market competitiveness, and transparency for our people.
We expanded partnerships with equity‑deserving communities, added inclusive language to all job postings, and completed an organization‑wide self‑identification survey. This helps us better understand our workforce and measure progress over time.
We continued our Indigenous Reconciliation Action Plan by deepening relationships with Indigenous organizations, sponsoring community events, and showcasing Indigenous artwork in our offices across Atlantic Canada. We also continue to support cultural learning across the organization, with progress reviewed regularly at the Board level.

Strong Governance and Ethical Practices

Behind the scenes, we strengthened how ESG considerations are built into decision‑making across the organization.

Environmental and social risks are now formally included in our enterprise risk management process, ensuring emerging issues are monitored and addressed proactively.
We introduced a formal Anti‑Corruption Policy and embedded it into our Code of Conduct, supported by ongoing training to reinforce ethical decision‑making.
We submitted our annual Child and Forced Labour Statement and strengthened internal processes to support transparency and compliance as federal reporting requirements evolve. We also began integrating ESG considerations into procurement planning.

United Nations Sustainable Development Goals

Our focus is on these United Nations Sustainable Development Goals:

Advocacy

Slow Down Move Over for All Roadside Workers

"Slow down, move over isn't just a slogan or suggestion — it's the law and the right thing to do. Behind every flashing light is somebody's father, brother, sister, son or daughter. Give us the space to work safely and make it home to our loved ones. Please be alert and focused while behind the wheel — it could be the difference if we make it home or not."
