ELLEN'S TOUR

Ellen's Tour de Sussex, a bike ride held annually to raise funds for bursaries in memory of late cyclist Ellen Watters, welcomed almost 300 cyclists this year, and CAA Atlantic was proud to sponsor the event. The ride featured local food from Giermindl's German restaurant. We at CAA Atlantic are thrilled to have supported such a great cause and happy to have been on site, despite the early day rain.

Cycling is a popular activity that brings people together, but it's also important to understand the potential dangers involved.

That's why CAA Atlantic supports Share the Road, a cycling safety program, and advocates for safer roads for cyclists. We believe that cycling is an environmentally friendly and healthy way to travel, and we want everyone to be able to enjoy it safely.

Ellen's Tour de Sussex aligns with our beliefs and values, and we were proud to sponsor the event. The bursaries awarded in memory of Ellen Watters support young cyclists who want to excel in the sport but don't have the financial means to do so. This support empowers young cyclists, and we believe that their success will encourage others to pursue cycling and a healthy lifestyle. In turn, this helps build a community that values and respects cycling.

Cycling is a significant mode of transportation in New Brunswick, and it's essential to ensure its safety. Share the Road is an excellent example of how CAA Atlantic is taking steps to make roads safer for cyclists.

The program focuses on educating drivers on how to share the road safely with cyclists. This initiative is crucial because it helps to raise awareness about cycling, dispel myths and stereotypes surrounding cycling, and improve safety, both for cyclists and drivers.

Ellen's Tour de Sussex promotes cycling as a healthy activity and promotes cycling tourism in the province. The event attracts cyclists from different areas, and it showcases the beauty of Sussex and its surrounding areas. This event provides an opportunity to bring together the cycling community to honour Ellen Watters, who was a passionate cyclist herself.

As a CAA Atlantic member, we encourage you to participate in events like Ellen's Tour de Sussex to promote cycling, healthy living, and safer roads.

At CAA Atlantic, we believe that supporting such events is not only a way to honour passionate cyclists like Ellen Watters, but it's also a way to empower young cyclists and build stronger, safer, and healthier communities.
